ABOUT THE ROLE – KitterWe are seeking an energetic and reliable Kitter to support our production operations in Penn Yan, NY. The Kitter is responsible for preparing ingredients, materials, and packaging for production by building kits or super sacks according to production schedules and customer specifications. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient workflow, ensuring accuracy, and supporting food safety, quality, and organizational standards.
WHAT YOU’LL DO• Build kits and super sacks according to customer specifications and production schedules
• Prepare correct quantities of ingredients and materials in advance of each batch
• Assemble items based on recipes or production requirements to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain compliance with KanPak policies, GMPs, and federal and state food safety regulations
• Follow strict housekeeping and sanitation procedures for the kitting area
• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of the work area to maintain compliance
• Use proper PPE and ensure safe handling of materials and equipment
• Communicate issues, risks, or concerns to the supervisor or lead in a timely manner
• Use scan guns, scales, calculators, scoops, and measuring utensils accurately
• Assist with special assignments and other job duties as needed
• Support overall quality, food safety, and operational goals
WHAT YOU’LL NEED• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Basic math skills
• Forklift or mobile equipment experience preferred
• Scan gun experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work as part of a team
• Commitment to safe work practices
THE SCHEDULE & SETTING• Full‑time, Monday through Friday
• Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (15:00)
• Must be flexible for overtime and occasional weekend needs
• Work performed in production and ingredient handling areas
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs
• May need to carry items up to 100 feet
• Occasional stair climbing; may be exposed to allergens
PAY & BENEFITSPay Range (Base Pay): $20 per hour
Other Compensation: May include overtime pay depending on needs
